What motivated you to venture into fashion design?
I have been interested in fashion ever since I was a little girl. I remember always wanting to pick my own outfits to wear from a very young age, with the help of my mum of course. She has the best and most honest opinions when it comes to fashion. I guess I got it from my mum.
What were some of the obstacles you faced so far?
To be honest, it is tough because it is my dream to have my own line and create outfits that I really want to create. Currently I'm in this alone and I do things my way… it may not always be the best thing but I definitely know what I want will go after it.
But still, you just can’t do it all yourself. For the line and brand to grow it's important to find the right people to work with. Maybe take some risks and follow your instinct .
I have to remind myself often , ‘don’t sweat the small stuff… let it go, everything will work out as it should’.
Tell us more about your fashion design style and direction.
Well, to me less is more. I’m the type of girl who loves to wear as minimal as I can be. Simple but on point. Jeans and white t-shirt like James Dean, everything black like The Olsen Twins. Quality over quantity, we say. That’s it!
Any fun plans in the future that you can share?
As for now, I’m working on my second collection and also I will working with other local brands in collaboration soon. Something for men and women for sure!
For inspiration sake, do share with us which runway around the world that you would like your design to be featured at?
Paris Fashion Week Runway would be awesome!
