Le Noir KL, a brand new restaurant and bar located at The Hive, TREC KL. It's a three story building that promise to bring a different experience on every floor. The first floor features a live band stage and DJ booth while the second floor is a cozy club lounge area and the third floor is dedicated roof terrace and bar with an amazing view of the KL city skyline with our signature KLCC Twin Tower. Snapper Ceviche - RM 35

Citrus marinated snapper with fresh tomato, avacado salsa and house-made coconut sorbet.

Snapper Ceviche was wonderful. You get to taste the "freshness" in every bite of the snapper pieces. And when you pair it with the fresh tomato, avacado salsa, it's gives a refreshing touch to the snapper ceviche, but my favourite part of this dish is definitely the house-made coconut sorbet. It was incredibly amazing. I love how the chef added a dessert kind of sweetness to a savoury dish like this. Kudos !

Salmon Rillettes - RM 35

Creamy salmon and herb mixture served with sauteed ratatouille, feta cheese and crostini.

Slightly similar to tuna mayo, but a lot more softer and slightly saltier compared to the typical tuna mayo spread. You can literally tell how well the salmon flavour blends in together with the herbs mixture when you eat it with the crostini (aka slices of bread). If you aren't a salmon kind of person, you can always eat it with the perfectly sauteed ratatouille and feta cheese. It still taste yummy.

Tenderloin Carpaccio - RM 47

Blackened beef tenderloin carpaccio, served with crispy sweet potato and port and teriyaki glazed blackberries.

If we were to choose, this probably would be our favourite dish of them all. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection. It was soft and juicy, literally melts in your mouth kind of beef tenderloin. Not to mention the teriyaki glaze that added the hint of sweetness to the beef. Ah.. yumm.. The slices of blackened beef tenderloin sitting atop of a bed of sweet potato fries and blackberries, was simply heavenly.. Would definitely be back for more of this Tenderloin Carpaccio.

Nasi Lemak 360 - RM 35

Nasi lemak balls stuffed with quail eggs and capelin fish, served with cucumber, crispy Thai basil and house-made sambal.

Chef, can you tell me where did you get the idea of presenting the Nasi Lemak in this ball-like structure ? Such an interesting and insta-worthy presentation of our local Nasi Lemak. A ball of Nasi Lemak rice with a crispy coat of batter, once you cut it into half, you'll find the hidden quail eggs in it along with the capelin fish. Everything was great except for the house-made sambal which is quite spicy to our liking.

Deep fried crispy wings tossed in house-made Louisiana sambal with veggie crudites and blue cheese dressing.

Man, this does not need a description or explanation. It certainly speaks for its own. Looking at that crispy and golden chicken wings ! All we can say is, the combination of pairing the chicken wing with blue cheese dipping was surprisingly interesting and delish.

Creole marinated house-made mini beef patties, onion marmalade and smoked garlic mayonnaise served on house-made charcoal brioche buns.

Again, the Chef nailed the beef sliders. The beef patties was not very strong in term of flavouring but as you pair the beef patty with the onion marmalade, smoked garlic mayonnaise and also the charcoal bun, it just complements each other. You'll get an explosion of flavours from sweetness to saltiness all in your mouth. We have just ran out of descriptions, just try this yourself and you'll get it.

Pan seared and roasted brine boneless chicken thigh served with a creamy baked potato tartiflette, crispy parsley and balsamic reduction.

The Brined Roasted Chicken was tasty but slightly salty for our liking. We like the creamy baked potato tartiflette though.

Dark chocolate coated brioche bun with hazelnut chocolate mousse and gold leaf. 

For dessert, we had the heavenly Chocolate & Hazelnut Brioche. To be fair, we would fall for any kind of dessert that comes with chocolate and this has both dark chocolate and hazelnut chocolate mousse sandwiched by the brioche bun. Trust us, if you were here, you'll also be hearing them say " eat me, eat me".. ;P
