As you have seen from the recent beauty reviews, I have been using a lot of BB Cushion. This is simply because I like how easy and simple foundation application could be when it comes to BB Cushion. Well, there are days where I want a full coverage makeup, I would still go back to the typical stippling brush and liquid foundation. But in my everyday minimal makeup routine, BB Cushion is definitely a staple. So today I thought I'd share with you one of the BB Cushion that I have been trying out, which is the new Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening limited edition which features an artistic oriental casing design.
Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening (Medium Beige No. 23) Limited Edition Review & Swatches
Sulwhasoo has collaborated with a contemporary 'Minhwa' Artist, Donah Lee to reinterpret the Korean traditional 'Hwajeopdo' (Butterflies and Flowers painting), a traditional decorative art for the royalty, as wishes of happiness and well being of their families, on the Sulwhasoo best-selling product, Perfecting Cushion and Perfecting Cushion Brightening. The design of sakura and butterflies on the Perfecting Cushion casing does bring out a whole new vibe to the cushion foundation, making it very graceful and elegant. So the design is a major love, but how about the Perfecting Cushion formula itself ? Hmmm... Scroll down to find out more. :)

Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening (Medium Beige No. 23) Swatches |
The Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening (Medium Beige - No. 23) gives a medium coverage without actually looking like you have got anything on the skin. I can go away with one layer of application if my skin is behaving that day, but in those redness skin days, two layer of application would be better especially on my porous nose area. Even with two layers of the Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Brightening, I would still have the natural look that isn't too glowy nor matte finish. Aside from that, I also love the fact that it's not too dense and complements whatever base you use underneath it.
As for the the wear time, it didn't last as long as I expected it to be, especially on my T-zone area. I would need to do some touch up in between for it to last the whole day. Well, with such pretty casing, I wouldn't mind flaunting it out to touch up my makeup. I must also mention that the cushion is very bendy. I can even fold the cushion to half to apply it on my undereye and it doesn't break (have been using it for a month). In fact, you can also use the same cushion to apply Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher on your cheekbone as a highlighter before applying the cushion, to give that K-beauty strobing effect on your face.
The Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion & Perfecting Cushion Brightening has added new shades to cater to a wider array of skin tones. Perfecting Cushion is now available in 6 shades where as Perfecting Cushion Brightening is available in 7 shades. So if your skin tone are ranging from pale pink to dark beige, you can give this Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion a try. :)
