Here's how I created this Korean Style Everyday Look step by step and what products I used throughout the whole tutorial.
How to Create Korean Style Everyday Makeup Tutorial (Step by Step)
After applying moisturizer and sunblock, I went in with Erborian CC Creme and blended it in with my fingers. This is to create an even skin tone as my base before going in with BB Cushion. And the thing I find it interesting is, although the product that dispenses from the tube is white in colour but as I blended it out, it turned to nude-skin colour, which makes it perfect for light cover up.
Next up is Sephora Wonderful Cushion Foundation. I'll just use the sponge that comes with it and pad it all over my face. This has been one of my favourite cushion because the coverage is very natural and gives a right amount of dewy-ness to my skin without looking too greasy, especially on my T-zone. I can't fault it and it's a huge recommendation of mine.
Since Korean beauty is all about the glow, I pad the Moonshot Moonflash Cushion SPF 50+ on my cheek bone, brow bone and nose bridge, to get the glowy result and also as a highlighter. Do bear in mind that, the colour of Moonflash Cushion is slightly white-ish, so a little goes a long way. Just pick up a small amount on of the product and pad it gently over you cheek bones then blend it out until you get the result you want. If you start off with too much of products, then you might have to touch up with BB Cushion to blend it in.
On to the brows, I used Maybelline Brow Define and Fill Duo. First, I'll outline the brow, making sure I get a straight brow outline before filling it.
Then the eyes were finished with NARS Eyeshadow Pencil all over my eye lid as a base before applying slight brown shade to the crease of my lids and blended it with a fluffy brush. I stick to a very neutral shades since this is an everyday makeup tutorial. Just FYI, I also used the Dolly Wink eyeliner and Shiseido Full Lash Volume Mascara here.
Okay it's time to add some colour to my cheek with the Sephora Wonderful Cushion Healthy Glow Cream Blush. The sponge applicator is brilliant, all I need to do is squeeze it and pad it. You can never get wrong with this direct application. I find that the colour is subtle and glowy, certainly great for everyday makeup.
Finally on to the signature Korean gradient lips. First I dab the Benefit Cosmetics Benetint on my lips and allowing it to dry for a few seconds, to create a base for the gradient lips. Then going in with Sephora Wonderful Cushion Lip Cream, but this time I only dab it on the inner part of my lips instead, for that gradient lips look. You can use the lip cream on its own, it applies a bright red tone to the lips with a semi-matte finish, that lasts for pretty substantial amount of time.
So this is my Korean Style Everyday Makeup Tutorial. Did it inspire you to try out the look ? :)
