Mary Kay just launched a new fragrance for women – forever diamonds. It is a floral-fruity fragrance that exudes sophistication.
I had the privilege of testing out this fragrance. It comes in a slim rectangular white box. The box itself has a very simple yet elegant design. It reminds me of white weddings and veils. Now isn’t that every woman’s dream?
A Review of Forever Diamonds by Mary Kay
When I unboxed it, the glass bottle that contains the perfume was a clear bottle, which again bore the same idea of simplicity yet sophistication.
The cap was angular-shaped, I think to resemble a diamond. I found the cap to be a bit tight and not easy to uncap. However that’s just a small glitch, in my opinion. What really matters … is what’s inside.
My first whiff of this perfume as I sprayed it on my body is the immediate floral scent. Its notes include peach, jasmine, diamond orchid, tuberose, heliotrope, apricot, vanilla and white amber. However, the floral scents were definitely stronger than the fruity notes.
After that, it settles into a very feminine smell. Hints of vanilla can be traced albeit slightly.
If you’re looking for something that’s floral and feminine, then Mary Kay’s Forever Diamonds is the one for you. Personally, I prefer fresh smells – opting usually for fruity scents or the rarer just-had-a-bath scent, or even the musky woody more masculine scents!
Forever Diamonds is not fruity the way DKNY’s Be Delicious is. Neither is it fresh nor masculine. Sometimes, to describe what something is, I find myself having to describe what it is not, to paint a clearer picture of what it is!
It is like a bouquet of flowers wrapped around the scent of a woman.
I hope I have tickled your senses as to what Mary Kay’s Forever Diamonds is like. It is a lovely feminine fragrance that will definitely please the woman in you!
