I am by no means a hotel expert, but ever since I started to go holiday with my friends 2 or 3 years back, looking through hotels, comparing the prices that the hotels offer seems to be a norm to me. I've got pretty excited and somewhat "kiasu", just to hunt down for the best, convenient and budget hotel rooms. This whole hotels hunting process would literally start off from the day we book our flight which could be 3 to 6 months in advance. So I thought I'd put together some of the things I learnt when it comes to booking hotel for holiday, which will hopefully help you in getting the best hotel rooms and save a bit for shopping. ;)
Things You Need To Know About Hotels.com
There's a lot of website that offer hotel booking like Agoda, Bookings.com, HotelQuickly, HotelsCombined, Trivago and many more. But 4 out of 5 times of my holiday whether it's just a local day trip or a long holiday in Seoul, Hong Kong or Thailand or anywhere, I'll always go back to Hotels.com because...
#1. Hotels.com offers the best rate and I would say it tends to be the cheapest among all.
#2. There's Secret Price specially for Hotels.com customers, which you can save up to 49% !
#3. The 10+1 program allows you to get 1 stay for FREE after 10 nights ! There's No Restrictions in redeeming your FREE night on any date at any eligible hotels, as simple as ABC.
This is definitely my favourite part of the whole hotel booking via Hotels.com. 3 nights at Langkawi, 2 nights at PD, 5 nights at Seoul and I'll get 1 night for FREE. Actually come to think of it, the 10 nights add up pretty fast. ;)
#4. You can also find Deal Of The Day on Hotels.com where you can save up to 60% from some of the hotels. But do note that Deal Of The Day s a 24 hours deal so you'll have to book it on that day itself because it might not be around anymore the next day.
#5. Helpful 24/7 Customer Service.
I am not sure about you but having a good customer service team is pretty important to me when it comes to hotel booking, because if there's anything happen to my booking or my payment, I would need it to be resolved ASAP instead of putting me on hold for hours on the line. Trust me, I have been in that situation where I was on hold for hours before they get back to me, which is pretty annoying. HUGE applause to the Hotels.com customer service team for the fast and helpful service !
