This year’s theme is “The Fight Against Avoidable Blindness”. Do you know that there are almost 285 million blind or visually-impaired people throughout the world of which about 80% of the cases are actually preventable?
L’Occitane aims to fight against avoidable blindness and increase awareness amongst the public by raising funds and providing support for organizations involved in helping the visually impaired.
You too can play a part in being a beauty with a heart! Every year, L’Occitane Malaysia introduces a solidarity fundraising product which is sold at all L’Occitane boutiques throughout the campaign period. All profits gained from the sales of this product will go to selected local NGOs. This year, L’Occitane teams up with the Ipoh branch of the Malaysian Association of the Blind and St Nicholas’ Home in Penang. Proceeds will be used for eye screenings for the public and conducting workshops and training for caregivers.
