My last spa essential was posted on January (here), so I thought it would be great to drop an update on my spa essential since it's already mid year. Going for spa at beauty salon can be a little pricey especially when you are a student. Besides, there's so much going on in my everyday, sometimes finding the time to make appointment and going for spa can be difficult too. So I decided to make the spa experience much more easier and affordable.
5 Spa Essentials
If you are planning to have a beauty spa pampering session, here are the few essentials that I would recommend for that simple yet relaxing spa experience at home. You can even try it with your friends during the sleepover party.
Candles - Not sure when was I introduced to the idea of burning scented candle. But anyway, I wish I could have started it earlier as the scent helps to calm me and allow me to rest my mind. If you are new to the idea of scented candles, I recommend you to give it a try. To start things off, you can get the Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works, it's my ultimate favourite candle when it comes to relaxation, plus it's quite affordable.
Music - Few things pair with scented candle is music. Find a calming and relaxing playlist whether it's from Spotify or from your own selection of songs. Basically anything that's soothing to relax your mind and soul will do. Like for me, I like Disney music soundtrack in the background as it gives me a sense of peaceful-ness and ease.
Hydrating Face Mask - With the hot temperature going on here, my T-zone are getting oily pretty fast. So a pore tightening clay mask like Mini Pore Waterclay Mask from LANEIGE with moisture boost is much needed to calm my pores and also give that kick of moisture to my skin. But if you are only looking for something hydrating, then try the Brightening Sparking Water Peel Mask - no more excuse for dry skin.
Pore-Tightener Moisturizer - After the mask, we need to lock in the nutrients on your face else all your mask will be put into waste. When it comes to moisturizer, you want something that's effective based on your skin concerns at that moment. Like in such hot weather, I'll opt for the LANEIGE Minipore Blurring Tightening as my moisturizer, due to my misbehaving T-zone's pores. It's definitely one of my fave to tighten my pores, anyways you can always use your existing moisturizer that cater to your skin concerns.
BB Cushion - Just because you are staying in the house, doesnt mean you shouldn't give your skin attention. I am not talking about putting on full-on makeup but just a thin layer of BB Cream (like LANEIGE BB Cushion) or foundation will do. The formula and nutrients found in this new BB Cushion ensure a pore coverage, semi-matt finish and long lasting, even on the hottest days. Well, if you are going out later, you can always finish off the with some eyeliners, brows, lipstick and etc.
Happy beauty pampering at home ! :)
P.S. Do let me know if you would like to have a full review of any of the products. xoxo
