I learnt that an awesome makeup routine can be easily be ruined by the wrong shade of eye shadow or lipstick, which you would never wish to happen on this coming Valentine's Day. That's why I'm here to share with you my tips in drawing that perfect pair of lips with only 3 steps and only 3 products from Lakme. Enjoy..
LAKMÉ 3 Steps to a Perfect Lip
Absolute Forever Silk Lip liner (Merlot), Absolute Gloss Addict Lipstick, Absolute Stylist Lip Gloss!
So here goes a look at some LAKMÉ’s lip care products that will have your lips looking all sexy and have everyone wanting to give you a smooch on this Valentine's Day! :P
Step 1: Line your Lips with LAKMÉ Absolute lip liner: Merlot
Before applying the lip liner I like to moisturize my lips first with some lip balm. We don’t want cracked lipsnow do we ? After that apply the liner on the edge of your lips all around, remember not to go outside the lip. Just follow the shape of your lips :)!
Step 2: Apply LAKMÉ Absolute Gloss lipstick: Perfect Plum
I am a sucker for sheer lipstick and the LAKMÉ Absolute Gloss lipstick is just that ! With lipstick you have to keep in mind is to apply it within the lip liner. Then just blend by rubbing your lips together. The blending helps to soften the lip liner so that it’s not too harsh…but if that tickles your fancy go for it love!
You also want to remove any excess lipstick by sticking your index finger between your lips then pull it out (helps avoid an embarrassing moment of you talking to your Valentine's date with lipstick on your teeth).
I like a matte finish to my lipstick so, I usually just take a sheet of tissue paper then lightly and gently rub my lips through it. An alternative is to place a sheet of tissue on your lips then dust with some loose powder(I just use Johnson baby powder). This will give you a matte finish and make the lipstick long wear.If you are going to apply lip gloss you can skip this bit!
Step 3: Apply LAKMÉ Absolute Gloss Stylist lip gloss: Coral Sunset
Coral is one shade that I absolutely love, reason being it goes well with many skin tones and I just love how it complements my dark skin. With lip gloss your just want to dab a little on the center of your lips to give them that fullness and glow…ooh, I just love the subtleshimmery satin look of this gloss!
It was super fun for me to play around with the LAKMÉ Absolute lip products! I like the chicness of the containers and they don’t just “look expensive”, the contentquality is also great. I know a lot of people usually don’t use lip liner (not that you really need it) but I find it creates a nice transition between the lips and the lipstick. I say this because sometimes when you apply lipstick alone there can be a huge demarcation between the natural lip color and the lipstick shade. So lip liner helps to gel the two!
What I like the most though is that each item can be used on its own and still look amazing. The Lip liner is really smooth and pigmented making it suitable to use as a matte lipstick if you wish. As for the lipstick, I like how you can build on it from sheer to really pigmented. Like the lip liner the dense consistency and pigmentation of the lip gloss allows it to double as a lipstick and gloss.
Hope you like this tutorial in creating that perfect lips for Valentine's Day ! I would really like to see what looks you lovelies can put together using this products on Valentine's Day. If you have them, share the look you created!
Happy Valentine's Day ! xoxo
