My first visit to Jakarta, Indonesia was just 3 weeks ago and I would say it was an artistic, fun and interesting experience. Many of you have been asking and saying that the hotel I was staying at looks really unique, well I can't agree more. Artotel Thamrin has such out of the ordinary design of the hotel. So how could I say no when they invited me over for this artsy experience.

Talking about food, I had my breakfast and lunch at Artotel Thamrin's restaurant, ROCA which is located at the lobby area of the hotel.

As for the buffet breakfast, Artotel Thamrin offers a wide selection of freshly made and delicious foods for you to kick start the lovely morning. They have local fried rice and noodles to sweet and sour fish to cocktail sausages to a hearty bowl of porridge and the must try Indonesian Soto Ayam. I just couldn't ask for more. And I do have to acknowledge that their service was very attentive and helpful too.
|Artotel Thamrin Roca Restaurant : Asian Salad with Crispy Prawn|
Even tho I am not a huge fan of prawns but I do have to admit that I love this dish to bits ! The prawns were cooked to perfection, crispy from the outside and juicy in the inside, and pairing it with the Asian spicy sweet and sour sauce definitely elevated the flavour of it, making it my favourite salad of them all. If you are a fan of spicy vegetable with a touch of flavour, then this is a Must Try. :)

|Artotel Thamrin Roca Restaurant : Banana Foster|
Banana Foster dessert was pretty interesting as it combines sweetness from the ice-cream and caramel with crunchiness from the croissant pieces. I must say this restaurant is a all rounder as everything has it's unique touch to it.
This delicious lunch was prepared by the amazing chef, Faizal Irvan. I am really amazed that he was able to transform the homely local Indonesian dishes into something so unique and flavorful like the Asian Salad with Crispy Prawn, Nasi Goreng Kemangi with Salted Fish and Banana Foster. They are simply divine, I kid you not. And not to mention that he is such a friendly person and nice to talk to too. It was such a pleasure to meet Chef Faizal and try your dishes. :)
All in all, I had an amazing stay at this unique boutique hotel, all thanks to Artotel Thamrin Jakarta for the warm welcome and great hospitality. By the way, Artotel is also located at Surabaya too and they will be launching their 3rd installment Artotel Bali this coming September, so be sure to check out Artotel if you are planning for a holiday trip to Jakarta, Surabaya and also Bali in the future.
Let's indulge into a unique and artsy stay at Artotel ! :)
P.S. I'll be having a giveaway with Artotel Thamrin, so do stay tuned for it.
