Plan B @ Bangsar Village I

Holaaa, it has been super darn long since the last time I write about food because I have been so addicted to fashion and beauty stuff. Anyway last week was indeed a gastronomic one because I pampered myself with all the yummy-licious food from not plan A but..

Plan B, Bangsar Village I

I am pretty sure that Plan B is not any stranger to anyone because it has been around for quite some time. You can easily find Plan B in major shopping mall like Mid Valley, One Utama, Publika and of course Bangsar Village I.

But all thanks to Nuffnang I get to dine at Plan B for the first time. Yup, I know its pretty sad to know its my first time but I am sure there will be more to come because the food are just delectable and healthy as well !

Plan B offers a wide selection of beverages but I opt for the Iced Chocolate because I am craving for something chocolaty.

Iced Chocolate - RM 10

The usual Iced Chocolate I ordered from somewhere else, all I get is the old classic iced chocolate with nothing on it but this time around its nothing usual because it comes with ice-cream and chocolate flakes on it too ! The iced chocolate was indeed a very chocolaty and having the ice-cream melted into the drink, it makes the whole iced chocolate much more creamier and thicker, just the way I like it.

Breakfast & Brunch

Avo Quinoa - RM 23

Looking at the watery egg yolk oozing out from the poached eggs definitely make me feel hungry right now. This Avo Quinoa are made up of Avacado, corn salsa, fried quinoa & chilli oil on ciabata toast, with poached eggs and mascarpone cheese. I would say its a rather healthy dish because of the variety of fresh vegetables lying on top of it. Dont belittle all these vegetables lying on it as it does give you a mouthful of sweet, sour and a hint of spicy flavours. How I wish on that day I could have this whole plate of Avo Quinoa by myself...

What is Quinoa ?
" Its a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium), is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. " (credit to Wikipedia)

Som Tam Crab Salad - RM 29

Every mouthful of the Som Tam Crab Salad does give a pack punch of sweet and sour flavours, just like the authentic Thai Som Tam Salad. Not to mention pairing the salad with the soft-shell crab, it gives an extra crunch and texture to it too !

Arugula Pesto Spaghettini - RM 22

Additional Prawn & Squid, +RM 9

Lately I have been seeing restaurant incorporating Arugula into their salad, but this is my very first time seeing it being put into spaghettini. To my surprise the mishmash of arugula and pesto gives a very lovely textured spaghettini and was indeed healthy-ly good one too. By an additional RM 9, you can get plenty of succulent prawn and calamari, unfortunately I am allergic to seafood so I would have to opt for the plain arugula pesto spaghettini if I am ordering this.

Asian-Style Soft-Shell Crab Spaghettini - RM 26

The Soft-Shell Crab Spaghettini was utterly creamy and the soft-shell crab was indeed cook to perfection. Everyone had so much pleasure savoring this plate of spaghettini till the very last drop of sauce. It's certainly a MUST TRY !

Burgers & Sandwiches

Spicy Fish Tacos - RM 26

The crispy fish fingers are served with salsa and coleslaw on soft tacos, and not to forget the sweet potato fries. In the beginning I find it rather odd in pairing the tacos with sweet potato fries, but surprisingly the sweet potato fries gives an additional sweet kick after chomping down the fish tacos.

Do you know why Plan B opt for sweet potato fries instead of normal fries ?
Because sweet potato is much more healthier and it doesn't get soggy as fast as a normal plain potato fries. Yes its true, even after our dessert, the sweet potato fries still have the crisp on it.

Char-Grilled Kimchi Chicken Burger - RM 23

For all kimchi lover out there, this is the burger you should try ! The kimchi chicken patty somewhat has a pretty mild kimchi taste to it but as you eat it with the homemade sesame bun and the coleslaw blanketing on it, it would taste just nice to tingle your taste-buds.

Mains & Asian

Buttermilk Fried Chicken - RM 25

The buttermilk fried chicken is the signature dish in Plan B. Dont be cheated by the ordinary look of it, because it is simply ordinarily good perhaps better ! The deep fried batter are simply crispy and crunchy sheltering the chicken that is cooked to perfection. All in all, its just aint any ordinary fried chicken !

Nasi Lemak Goreng - RM 26

Nasi Lemak Goreng ? Seriously ?
Yes the starchy rice is fried with prawns and long beans. After frying the rice, it turns out to be not so sticky as compared to nasi lemak rice. If this is pretty new to you, then you should really give it a try, but beware of the sambal because its fiery !

Coconut Cake - RM 10

The visually orgasmic coconut cake has the coconut jelly layering in between two layer of sponge cake, then coated with scrape of coconut on the outside. The sponge cake was so soft and spongy I would say, simply a piece of divine coconut cake.

Apple Crumble Tart - RM 12

Oh gosh the apple crumble tart just took my heart away from the very first bite itself ! For a sweet tooth foodie this apple crumble tart might be not so sweet but for me its just lip-smacking ! This apple crumble tart not only feed my stomach but also feast my eyes, looking at the chilly ice-cream melts on the freshly baked apple crumble just make my whole dessert testing session much more alive !
