11 - Dessert @ Fat Spoon Café, Damansara Uptown

My last visit to the Peter and Jane storybook menu place, aka Fat Spoon Café (read here), I had the main course and it wasnt that spectacular till I would be going for more.

But the dessert there was another story.

11:30am - 3:00pm, 5:00pm - 10:00pm (Tuesday - Thursday)
11:30am - 10:00pm (Friday - Sunday)

We ordered all the kinky looking dessert to try after seeing everyone enjoying their dessert during the last visit there. * so adventurous *

Passion Fruit with Love Letters.

It was literally vanilla ice-cream with a spoonful of passion fruits, and the love letters lying beneath everything. The passion fruits was very very sour, giving a strong kick of sourish taste in your tongue once it enters you mouth, but as you pair it with the vanilla ice-cream, it sort of neutralizing the sourness from the passionfruit with the sweet and chilling feeling from the ice-cream.

I simply enjoy the sourish kick from the passion fruit. * sourrrrrrr >~< *
Chocolate Banana Spring Roll.
How about some Popiah with Banana filling and some chocolate syrup on top of it ? The spring roll was very aromatic with the smell of banana once you cut it into half to chomp. Tho it was quite unhealthy to literally eat deep fry popiah with banana, but it was quite tasty indeed, since it wasn’t like the soggy and oily Deep Fried Banana (Pisang Goreng) on the roadside.  This has a clean cut crispy layer wrapping over the sweet banana.

Cempedak Spring Roll.
This was the typical deep fried popiah, but this time, it was all filled with cempedak, instead of vegetables. Somehow or someway, everything served as a spring roll at Fat Spoon Café tend to have a very fruity fragrant once you cut in into half, but for this, you can get the smell of the Cempedak without even slicing.

Cempedak Spring Roll.
One thing that I like about the Spring Roll dessert was having it being served on a frying pan. It was creative and a one in a kind way of serving the dessert.

Cempedak Spring Roll.
Actually when you come to think about it, all these Chocolate Banana and Cempedak Spring Roll are literally the ones we can get from the stall on the roadsides, but Fat Spoon Café just boxed it up into a spring roll and served on a frying pan, making it so exclusive and appetizing comparing to the lame cempedak and pisang goreng. And the funny part is that we are paying for the packaging of it ! HaHahaha
