Fat Spoon Café @ Jalan SS21/1A, Damansara Uptown

The name of the restaurant is literally called
Fat Spoon Café !

I am pretty amazed with the creativity of restaurants name nowadays, its like something you have never think of and pops thats the name of the restaurant.

Well there was another fastfood restaurant that I have visited earlier which has the word "Fat" too !

73, Jalan SS21/1A Damansara Utama,
47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

11:30am - 3:00pm, 5:00pm - 10:00pm (Tuesday - Thursday)
11:30am - 10:00pm (Friday - Sunday)

The lighting at there was very dim and yellowish, giving a warm and fuzzy mood and on top of that the utensils was placed like the ones you get in hawker stalls. Its like a mixture of dining at some classy and also rundown cafe down the road.

My Peter and Jane Menu.
The thing that flabbergasted me the most is not the embellishment but the design of the menu. The menu was literally printed and pasted on top of a old Peter and Jane english reading book ! It brings back a lot of my childhood memories reading the book before bedtime. * owwwhh *

Curry Chicken.
Curry Chicken.
The Chicken Curry was quite bland and hot, its literally like the grandma recipe your mom cooked at home. Nothing special about this dish tho.

Curry Chicken With Meehoon.
Curry Chicken with Meehoon.
I regret in ordering this dish cause I was in crave of something soup-based meehoon and I thought this was in the form of soup-based.

The curry paste tasted exactly the same as the one in the rice, quite bland but this is more spicier. One thing I like is that the chicken was all boneless breast meat, tho it was sort of overcooked and coarse in texture.

The Bill was clipped inside a Classical Story Book.

Woww, even our bill was clipped inside a Classical Story Book that I used to read when I was young. Very old-school and recycle mood.

Here are some pictures of the place, it literally looks like some rundown cafe down the street and the best part is that its located at Damansara Uptown, how ironic ! * hahaha *
The entrance of it
The door knob was a Fat Spoon !
Some old magazines.
The old-school black board.

Cozy place to hang out with a bunch of friends.

Ambiance : The place gives a very old-school mood with all the old story books as menu, and its a combination of classy yet simple and a little bit laid-back cafe atmosphere.
Service : The service was very polite and helpful.
Price :
The food here is quite pricey indeed cause it tastes pretty much like the ones you can get at home.
Presentation :
Food presentation is very clean.
Taste : Quite bland and spicy for me, cause my spiciness tolerance level is quite low indeed.
P.S. I shall try the dessert in the next round cause everyone was having dessert instead of some heavy food like us. >.<
I wish I wouldnt have to put on concealer
and be naked in front of you
